About the Owner – Ligia Onofrei

My name is Ligia Onofrei, and caring for the elderly has been part of my heart and my life since childhood. I grew up in a nursing home my mother owned and operated, surrounded by seniors who felt like extended family. Those early experiences shaped me deeply and inspired a lifelong calling to serve others with kindness and compassion.

Today, I am a wife of 12 years and a mother of three, and caregiving remains one of the greatest joys of my life. Much of my experience has been in hospice and end-of-life care, a role that has taught me the beauty of being present, gentle, and supportive during life’s most tender moments.

Opening Columbia River Senior Care is the fulfillment of something I have always wanted to do—a place where I can continue my family’s legacy of caring for seniors with grace, love, and heartfelt dedication. Here, every resident is treated like family, because to me, this work is not a job—it is a calling.
